Drilling
What is the difference in diamond drills?
We will try to explain it to you briefly.
Diamond drills intended for stone, specifically for GRANITE, can also drill concrete, marble, gres or ceramic tiles. But...
- since concrete is more abrasive than granite, there is more abrasion and wear, and therefore a lower lifetime of the granite diamond drill bit
- since ceramics are strong but fragile, the glaze may be damaged at the drilling site. It is also necessary to cool such a drill with water, as a high temperature is generated during drilling and the granite segment is not built for such conditions
- since marble has a different composition than granite, the drilling process can be prolonged, even dulling the diamond segment

2, Diamond drill bits designed exclusively for concrete have a harder bond. This is due to the abrasiveness, which is similar to sandstone. Therefore, they are not completely suitable for drilling into stone or cladding.(very slow work)
3, Diamond marble reamers are also suitable for drilling into ceramics, possibly artificial stones and conglomerates. In granite or concrete, they are characterized by a significantly lower lifespan
